Marla Grossman speaks on copyright issues at Capitol Hill panel

On Monday, October 21st, ACG Partner Marla Grossman participated in a panel briefing for Capitol Hill staffers on copyright issues. The event, organized by ACT: The App Association in cooperation with the House Intellectual Property Promotion and Piracy Prevention Caucus, was moderated by Morgan Reed, President of ACT, and also featured panelists Jordana Rubel (Assistant General Counsel for the U.S. Copyright Office); and Steven McKeon (MacGuyver Media, LLC).

The briefing covered a wide range of copyright issues, from basic questions such as “What is a copyright?” and “Why is copyright important?” to complex questions regarding fair use, derivative works and current copyright bills such as the Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement (CASE) Act of 2019.
