Claire Shanklin

Claire Shanklin serves as the Director of Policy at ACG Advocacy. In this role, Claire helps direct the work flows of the research team and supports clients on a wide array of issues, including intellectual property, trade, housing, technology, and appropriations. Claire writes the firm’s weekly Patent and Trademark Policy Report.

Prior to joining ACG Advocacy in August 2017, Claire was a Federal Advocacy intern at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). As an undergraduate student, Claire interned with New York State Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. She also served as a Research Analyst at The Potomac Advocates, a government relations and consulting firm in Washington D.C.

In May 2017, Claire graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo with Bachelors in Political Science and a minor in Economics. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa her senior year. While attending SUNY Geneseo, Claire maintained an active membership in the College Democrats, where she served as Vice President.
