(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – ACG Advocacy is pleased to announce the addition of Cameron Seward as its newest Partner (https://acgadvocacy.com/team/cameron-seward/).
Cameron brings an unparalleled background and network to advise ACG clients in the new Trump Administration and 119th Congress. He began his professional career at the Heritage Foundation, where he served as Chief of Staff. During the first Trump Administration, he served at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement. Cameron played a key role in advancing U.S. trade policy, particularly during high-stakes negotiations such as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement and the U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement amendments. He was instrumental in engaging with trade groups, industry stakeholders, Congress, and other government agencies to align policy priorities and manage key trade advisory committees.
After his tenure at USTR, Cameron became General Counsel and Director of Operations at the Conservative Partnership Institute, where he contributed to the organization’s rapid expansion and legal strategy. Most recently, Cameron served as Of Counsel at the Compass Legal Group, advising on a range of legal and strategic matters.
“We are thrilled to welcome Cameron to the ACG Advocacy team,” said Manus Cooney, Managing Partner of ACG Advocacy. “His extensive experience, relationships, and deep understanding of the incoming Trump Administration will be a vital part of the firm as we help our clients navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Managing Partner, Shawn Smeallie added, “We are very fortunate to have Cameron join our already impressive stable of policy advisors. Cameron brings a crucial understanding of the trade and policy world in the incoming Administration. I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
Cameron joins ACG at a time of increasing growth and expansion. The firm has recently added several new clients, including Axel Springer, Dolby Labs, Art Ashes, and cybersecurity firm Daric.
