Caroline Friedl serves as a Research and Executive Assistant at ACG Advocacy, where she supports the firm’s leadership and advances client priorities at the intersection of intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and technology. She authors the firm’s daily IP Articles of Interest, curating developments in patents, copyright, antitrust, and data privacy to keep clients informed on rapidly evolving policy debates. Caroline also manages ACG’s internship program and the firm’s LinkedIn presence.
 
Prior to joining ACG, Caroline gained extensive experience in public affairs and foreign policy. As an International Affairs Advisory Intern at APCO Worldwide, she developed strategic communications for global clients in higher education, national security, and the food and beverage industries. She also served as an intern with the Leadership in International Affairs Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where she conducted policy research and supported initiatives to expand diverse leadership in the field of national security.
 
Originally from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Caroline graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a B.A. in History and Political Science, along with certificates in European Studies and French Language and Culture. She also spent a year abroad at the University of Copenhagen.
