Jamie Susskind joined ACG Advocacy from the office Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), where she served as the Legislative Director since 2023. In that role, she oversaw a 15-member legislative team and managed the Senator’s policy priorities for the full scope of issues considered by the Senate. Jamie also oversaw floor processes for the office, as well as relationships with the Senate GOP Steering Committee, the Senate Whip Team, and others. While serving as Legislative Director, Jamie continued to advise the Senator on technology policy, spearheading the office’s work on bills such as the Kids Online Safety Act, the NO FAKES Act, the REPORT Act, and the Open App Markets Act.

Prior to becoming Legislative Director, Jamie served for two years as the Senator’s Technology Policy Advisor. In that role, she advised on issues such as data privacy, cybersecurity, broadband, spectrum, content moderation, and antitrust, in addition to staffing the Senator on the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Data Security. Jamie also focused on coalition building, helping coordinate and grow bipartisan coalitions to support several of the Senator’s legislative priorities.

Jamie previously worked on the Hill as Chief Counsel to Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) and as an FCC Detailee for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation’s Subcommittee on Communications, Innovation, and the Internet. She also served as Chief of Staff to FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr and as Vice President of Policy and Regulatory Affairs at the Consumer Technology Association. A native Michigander, Jamie earned a Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan.
